Life Skills Courses
Enhancing Life Skills at Amber Family
Life Skills Courses for parents at Amber Family aim to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge to offer their children the best start in life.
Our in-house learning and development team develops and facilitates courses, and each session's content is based on the most up-to-date NHS guidelines and/or relevant evidence-based research.
Each topic is covered in a session lasting up to an hour and a half and is designed to provide the basic knowledge that we believe all parents, whether they are first-time parents or not, need to keep their child(ren) safe, healthy and happy.
Our training team can provide these courses within the Amber Family settings on a 1:1 basis or as part of a group session, depending on the individual's needs. They have experience providing these courses to individuals with various backgrounds and cognitive abilities; we strive to make these courses accessible to all.
All parents undertaking the courses are offered several resources and signposted to appropriate agencies that can offer more in-depth support if required.
