Restorative Service

Eight members of Amber Family recently attended a week’s training course with Dr Belinda Hopkins from www.transformingconflict.org  The course is based on the 5 core beliefs that underpin the Transforming Conflict model of restorative practice. The team have already started to think differently about the way people behave, considering the thoughts, feelings and unmet needs behind anything and everything they say and do.

Amber Family is committed to becoming a restorative service, establishing a restorative and relational ethos in each of our homes as well as across the company as a whole. We are looking forward to developing this across all our settings, working with our staff, parents, partners and referring Local Authorities in order to do so.
